Eligibility

Who can apply

  • Young person aged 15–35 years
  • Resident in Edo State (Edo North priority)
  • Unemployed, under-employed or seeking skills
  • Has a valid NIN (National Identification Number)
  • Passionate about creativity, media & storytelling
  • Able to attend in-person training sessions

Good to know

Is the training really free? +

Yes. The programme is fully funded under the World Bank–supported IDEAS-TVET Initiative. You pay nothing — and registered trainees receive a monthly stipend paid directly to them.

Do I need experience or my own equipment? +

No prior experience is required, and training equipment is provided. You simply need commitment and willingness to learn. Bringing a smartphone is helpful but not compulsory.

What will I learn exactly? +

Professional video production and editing — camera work, lighting, sound, storytelling, editing, colour grading and motion graphics — enhanced with AI tools like DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Runway, Veo and ElevenLabs.

What do I get at the end? +

A recognised NSQ certificate, a real portfolio of work, an internship placement, and support to find employment, freelance, or start your own content business.

How are trainees selected? +

Applications are reviewed against the eligibility criteria. Shortlisted applicants are contacted for enrolment and biometric verification (NIN/BVN). With only 100 places, early application is encouraged.
